How do I open a shared route (.kmz file)?

You can open or import a route in iOS or Android in 3 steps:

Opening a shared Nautical Maps route on iOS:

1. Tap on the .kmz file.
2. Tap on ‘Share file via…’ and then on ‘Open in…’.
3. You can now open the file with the Nautical Maps app. When you select the Nautical Maps app, the app imports the file automatically and displays the message ‘A route has been loaded’.

Opening a shared Nautical Maps route on an Android device:

1. Tap on the .kmz file.
2. Open it with the Nautical Maps app.
3. You’ll receive confirmation in the app that the route has been successfully imported.
