Yes, the software will work with internal GPS if it’s supported by Windows. But there aren’t any PCs on the market just now that have built-in GPS. The advantage of a separate GPS is that you can place the receiver or antenna in a place with good reception. What’s more, a separate GPS is often much cheaper than a PC with internal GPS.
